7879 Designs’ Services

Through 7879 Designs I specialize in helping people like you integrate WordPress software into your existing Web sites.

If you’ve already got a WordPress blog then I can create you a custom WordPress Themes to make your blog stand out from the crowd.

Even if you think that blogging really isn’t your thing, maybe I can persuade you that WordPress is the most cost-effective Web publishing platforms available today – and one that’s good enough for 10 Downing Street to use.

If you want an affordable, easy-to-update Web site then using WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS) is an excellent option.

About Me

I’ve been working as an Information Designer in the IT industry for the past 7 years. After a few heady years writing instruction manuals and online help systems I discovered a passion for Web design. Since then I have taught myself html, css, a little Javascript and enough PHP.

I first came across WordPress a few years back and was amazed by how easy it was to use and yet with a few Plugins how powerful it was.

What I liked most though was the ability to make WordPress look and feel exactly how you want it to – you can make it look like a normal Web site, like your existing Web site, but with all the benefits of a CMS.

That’s why I use WordPress to power this site and why I love sharing my passion for WordPress blogs with people like you.

Dr Peppers & Me

I really like Dr Peppers (not enough to call it “Dr Pepper” though) and if you want me to be your friend, just buy me a bottle of the Dr’s magic potion.

Here Comes the Science Part

The wonder that is the 7879 Designs Web site is powered by the WordPress CMS. It has a customised theme crafted by my fair hand, and a few minor code changes but is essentially an “out of the box” WordPress installation.

All of the code changes were done using Adobe DreamWeaver and the CSS in the custom theme was styled using TopStyle Lite.

All of the graphics used on this site were created using Adobe Photoshop. Source graphics were downloaded from Stock.XCHNG and stockxprt.

And if you care enough, all other style information can be found in the 7879 theme’s stylesheet.
